From the mountains of Croatia…

To the mountains of Palm Desert, California, where she now lives, Anka still draws close to the mountains for her strength and guidance.   She was trained as  a child by nature.  Her recent healing education, in a variety of forms, has been simply learning the language and explanations of what she has known and been doing all her life, naturally; creating balance and harmony for friends and clients.

Anka was deeply connected with Nature as a child and learned its mysterious ways. From her mother, who was the village mid-wife and a shaman. From her, Anka learned to use the healing herbs and the laying on of hands. She remembers her mother healing wounded soldiers using only what the mountains provided and her healing hands.

After the collapse of Croatia’s economy, Anka was forced to spend a year in an Italian refugee camp. From there she immigrated to Canada where she became a professional dressmaker. Within five years she rose to the top of her profession. "I am a good fitter!" she exclaims. "I work by my feel. I just need to touch it and it fits perfectly!’ That’s what Anka’s hands do, they make everything fit perfectly, creating balance and harmony in your body and life.

Anka immigrated from Canada to Southern California, creating a very successful business in the garment industry, employing many in need of work and specializing in “hard to fit” clients.  She later became a certified nurses assistant, incorporating her holistic knowledge with care giving.  She believes that giving and receiving belong together.  To know this is to participate consciously in the flow of divine energies.
