COLD LASER THERAPY
Low level laser therapy or "cold laser" is
the application of a therapeutic wave length of light over injuries or
lesions to improve wound / soft tissue healing and give relief for both
acute and chronic pain. First developed in 1967, and approved in 2002
by the Food and Drug Administration for use in the U.S., it is now used
to increase the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair;
give pain relief; resolve inflammation; and, improve function of damaged
neurological tissue. It's similar to acupuncture without the needles,
relieving pain and supplying cells with oxygen for rejuvenation.
